According to some reports, the length of railways in Central Asian countries is 22
thousand kilometers. Kazakhstan has the largest and most used railway system, accounting
for 66% of the region's railways and 84% of all freight traffic. About 18 percent of the region's
railways pass through Uzbekistan, and the country accounts for about 11 percent of all traffic.
Turkmenistan owns about 12 percent of regional railways and provides 4 percent of all traffic
         (Table 5.1.2).

It is possible to reduce the cost of transportation with China and neighboring countries
by making them easier and faster. If we take the example of Uzbekistan, there will be a
positive change in transport costs for all participants due to the improvement of infrastructure
facilities and the construction of new roads based on the project.
In particular, it is possible to reduce transport costs with Kyrgyzstan to 37%, and with
Kazakhstan – to 28%. It is also possible to minimize transport and freight costs with other
participating countries. The Chinese government is taking great initiative in building roads
and new infrastructure, insisting that it will shoulder the financial resources.
Formation of new transport and transit corridors to attract additional cargo flows to
Central Asia, creation of a network of international logistics centers by studying foreign

for the effective use of ports of foreign countries. development of transport and logistics
