Program Committee:

The Committee shall consist of the Program Director (Chairperson) and the Grade Group
Sponsors. The Program Committee is responsible for ensuring the execution of programming
activities as agreed upon by the chapter members at the Grade Group Planning Session. The PD
ensures the execution of Engaging, Impactful, and EmPOWERing Programming that support
National, Regional, and local Chapter initiatives. They adhere to governing documents and
attend Program Director training and conference calls. The Program Director shall oversee the
execution for the three-chapter events (Jack and Jill Day, Black History and Black Family Day)
ensuring each event has an appointed chair to manage budget. Grade Group chairpersons are
responsible for working with the mother members in their respective grade groups to ensure
execution of grade group programming events and collection of activity reports, photographs,
Medical Liability Forms, photo release and attendance records.

2020 - 2021 Committee Goals:
Age Group Sponsors:
• Ensure age group events have an appropriate number of chaperones based on the number
of participants – 1 Mother for every 5 children, except children ages 2-5 whose
chaperone must always stay with them
• Ensure appropriate engagement of all members and drive communication regarding
activities which maximizes participation
• Assist Program Director with 2020 Grade Group Planning Session by leading respective
grade group planning activities in advance of the final planning session with the
committee

Program Director:
• Produce program calendar to members prior to the start of the program year

• Complete Program Handbook and distribute to National by November 1
• Identify specific National / Regional activities to focus on during the current year
program year
• Ensure Grade Group Sponsors communicate the “Who, What, When, Where, and Why”
of the activity and understand the purpose.
