Legislative & Health Committee:
The Legislative and Health Committee makes the connection with programming activities that
are civic, and the community impact projects to ensure that they support National Legislative
Initiatives that have been identified by the National Executive Board and the National
Legislative Committee.

2020 – 2021 Committee Goals:

• Provide a legislative and /or health moment at each Mother’s meeting. This can include
sharing how upcoming events support National legislative initiatives and/or a health
awareness moment.

The 2020-2021 legislative/health activities include:

Chapter Voter Registration activities
Spurs/Chili Peppers – The Great Debate
Mavericks – Voting PSA
Jr. Teens – Voting PSA
Sr. Teens – Election Night watch

Associates:
2020 – 2021 Committee Goals:
• Participate in Chapter fundraising
• Partner with Chapter President for Chapter Founder’s Appreciation activity
• Partner with Chapter Liaison to plan and execute Associates Appreciation
• Identify community service activity to promote and represent North Texas (Walk Against
Child Abuse)
• Participate in Mothers Away from Home project; Coordinate with Alumni Connection
(Provide care packages/cards/encouragement from the Chapter)
