Parent Struggles with Changing Anger

Changing your anger to a healthier anger response is a simple but perhaps not easy process.
The ways to change your anger are rather fundamental but your current anger expression is
already a habit and changing habits may be challenging for you.

Understanding the need to change your anger is the first step to motivate yourself. Realizing your
healthy anger response can help you feel better and help strengthen your relationship with your
child can be a powerful motivator for change.

It’s important for you to be respectful and kind to yourself during your change to healthy anger.
Making the change will help you feel safer and more competent as a parent and have a profound
effect on both the growth and development of your child and your relationship with him or her.
