Pre-implementation considerations

Before implementing the blended learning approach,

school managers would need to build consensus with
teachers as to why a blended learning approach is

beneficial to them and their students. They should also
conduct an inventory at their school on the current

infrastructure to determine if there is enough foundation

in terms of appropriate technologies in place for blended
               learning to succeed.

Based on Sam Curry and his YouTube channel New EdTech Classroom, 5 key areas

need to be considered when trying to build a blended teaching approach in a learning
ecosystem, such as; (1) A well organised navigable Learning management system,

               (2) Prepare to flip a classroom, (3) Use interactive tools to make learning more

effective, (4) Emphasis on lesson design, and lastly, (5) Teach foundational
               technology skills to students.

In respect of the above-mentioned considerations, several key factors will supplement
the success of blended learning approach in an ecosystem such as; selecting a

technology tool that adapts to each student’s abilities which indicates that when a
technology is selected which meet the ability of needs of the students as it will
