About the Authors
                        Peter Cook taught special education and technology before transitioning to administration. Peter pres-
                        ently serves as Supervisor of Instructional Technology and Data Management for the Pequannock
                        Township School District where he is responsible for both instructional and educational technology
                        district-wide. He has tripled device availability, improved wireless infrastructure 400%, and successfully
                        implemented 1:1 Chromebooks for all students and staff K-12. He was recently recognized for Outstand-
                        ing Achievement in Supervision and Administration. Peter lives in Parsippany with his wife and three

                        Richard Hayzler has been the proud Principal of Pequannock Valley School in Pompton Plains for
                        six years. In his 17th year as an educator, Mr. Hayzler has previously served as a Business Education
                        Teacher and Vice Principal of Academic Affairs at Pequannock Township High School. He was recently
                        highlighted by DisruptEd-TV and the authors of Lead Like a Pirate for his philosophy on education. Rich

                        Michael Portas is the Principal of Hillview Elementary School in Pompton Plains. He worked previously
                        as an English teacher and Humanities Supervisor, and lives in Lincoln Park with his wife, three boys and
                        dog (Brady). He enjoys visiting baseball parks with his family, reading, and running, though not at the
