                     Linda Bovino-Romeo, Ph.D. is the Principal of Betsy Ross Elementary School in Mahwah, NJ. A former
                     assistant principal and special education teacher, Linda has seen the necessity to support students’
                     social-emotional needs in order for them to be successful in school. Follow Betsy Ross’ journey on

                     Michael DeTuro, Ed.D. is the Principal of Joyce Kilmer School. Previously, he served as an elementary
                     teacher and middle school assistant principal. Michael has moved from resistor to believer in the mindful

                     John P. Pascale is in his 16th year as Principal of Mahwah High School. A former high school science
                     teacher, John taught every natural science including chemistry, biology, and physics. John is passionate
                     about social-emotional learning and his school has been involved in Mindful Monday activities since

                     Danielle Poleway is the Supervisor of Mathematics, grades 6 - 12, for the Mahwah Township Public
                     Schools after teaching mathematics for 4 years at New Milford High School, then 18 years at Mahwah
                     High School. She continues her own study of mindful practices through Mindful Schools.



                     Nikki Van Ess is the Supervisor of Social Studies and Business for the Mahwah Township Public
                     Schools where she leads 20 teachers in curriculum and instruction. In 2014, Nikki trained at Kripalu
                     Center for Yoga and Health and earned her 200 hour yoga certification.



                     Suzanne Whalen is the Assistant Principal of Ramapo Ridge Middle School. A former middle school
                     English teacher and volleyball coach, Suzanne taught sixth, seventh and eighth grade language arts for
                     ten years before entering into administration seven years ago.




                     Christine Zimmermann is the Director of Curriculum and Instruction for the Mahwah Township Public
                     Schools and currently serves as one of the tri-presidents of the Bergen County Curriculum Consortium.
                     A former principal, Chris taught every grade from preschool through eighth and at the college level.
