A magnificent 60year old 100 % PHF Club adding colorful feathers to the crown of RI District 3201. Shanthi
and I were warmly received by President Dr Saj Mathew and Secretary James. Started by inaugurating a
Rotaract Club at the Little Flower College, Guruvayoor. After installing the new President and team, had
a very nice interaction with the enthusiastic Rotaractors and the management of the college. The club’s
community projects are providing breakfast to tribal people at Annakayam, Nutrition for Zero Hunger
Project, Educational support for students, Honoring farmers, Developing of Miyawaki Forest. The Club
has planned to have a medical camp in rural areas. The signature project of the club is Geriatric Day
Care Centre at St. Joseph Old age home, Pullazhi and Global Grant project of a blood bank and clinical
laboratory at General Hospital, Trissur. A training program on printing and book binding will be provided
for selected persons. The Club also hosted a Seminar on Women Empowerment. The Club Assembly was
very fruitful along with inputs from AG Manoj Pushkaran, GGR Uday Kumar and DD Pratap Varkey, the
members were all charged up to change lives. The evening function was very nicely organized with
a new member inducted to their folds and they handed over their TRF contribution. Recognized their
members with PHF and MPFH pins. It was a very memorable visit for us.
DD Rtn. Pratap Varkey, AG Rtn. Manoj Pushkaran and GGR Rtn. Dr. Uday Kumar Gopinathan are ably
supporting the club.
