The Jacob duo of President Dr.Jacob and Secretary Job Jacob are doing a great job.
The smile and happiness on the faces of the people whose badly damaged house was nicely renovated was a
memorable start of my visit to Rotary Thodupuzha. Must complement the entire team for this project ‘Abhayam‘
through which they plan to renovate or help to complete the incomplete houses of the needy in and around
Thodupuzha. They contributed Rs 1,56,000/- for the house which was inaugurated. Then visited their Farmers
Support Project and on going Global Grant Project of Dialysis Machines at Chazhikatt Hospital and District
Hospital, Thodupuzha and “Annapoornam Project” which supplies food for the needy. Their other community
service projects include “Haritham” – Agriculture support to farmers and supplying machine saw for farmer
support are indeed great work by the club. The club also does several medical community service projects
like free Cataract detection camp, Anemia and Diabetic detection in adolescents. The club also provided
Vocational/skill development projects on Terrace Gardening, organic farming and fish farming which is very
helpful for the farmers around the area. The club has also done several joint projects along with the RCC like
Food supply during pandemic, educational support to the tribal children’s and medical assistance to needy at
Poomala area. The club hosted seminars on Career Guidance and Adolescent Health. During the club assembly
they also informed of their next Global Grant project of a van for the IMA Blood Bank which will help them to
have mobile blood donation camps. During the well attended evening function their lovely quarterly bulletin was
also released. They have 7 District officers from their club. Kudos to this senior club doing excellent projects for
the betterment of the society.
DD Rtn. Maj. Gen. Vivekanandan, AG Rtn. Hari Krishnan.K.S and GGR Rtn. Heji.P.Cheriyan are a big guiding
force for the club.
