An Energetic Club, warmly received by President Rtn. Karthik and Secretary Rtn. Senthil Kumar. Started
the day by planting 1000 Bamboo trees on the occasion of World Bamboo Day at one of their member’s
site at Sundarapuram. We then visited Govt. High School, Edayarpalayam, Coimbatore - inaugurated a
Hand wash facility, handed over 12 sets of desks and benches to the school also had a good interaction
with the students. Their signature project of Educating Girl Child - distribution of books every year to
girl students has been going on for many years now. They also regularly organize Diabetics Screening
camps. The club is planning to start their own website later this year for their online and social media
presence. Two new members were inducted during the well attended evening function.

17 A Vibrant club lead by President Rtn. Akdher Kudel and Secretary Rtn. Ashwin, have a good record of

contribution to the Rotary Foundation . The club had received RI Citation Award in 2020-21. The major ongoing
community service projects of the club are “Matru-Raksha Canlive” - Breast Cancer treatment program and
Provision of School infrastructure at the Edapally Government High School. The club had arranged for Covid
Vaccination Drive during the pandemic. The club is planning to provide oxygen concentrators to old age
homes and palliative care centers. Further the club has planned for twinning club arrangement with RC
Oakville Trafalgar based in Canada and joint meeting with Toastmasters International. The public event was
well attended by the family of Kochi United along with Dist. Officers from other clubs. While releasing their
lovely Bulletin “The United Times” emphasized on the importance of a good Public image and need for more
members. They have 4 District officers from their club.
DD Rtn. Varghese.K.Joy, AG Rtn. Subramanian Sitaraman and GGR Rtn. Seshadri Nathan Krishnan are ably
supporting the club.
