Surveys
Surveys of all players should be undertaken once every 2·3 years. Must be anonymous, however
the ability to do some demographic analysis is useful: gender/age/years in AYO. It is best to
have
 multi-choice or rankings to circle, with the option to elaborate
 a few open-ended questions
 printed rather than online Template (see sample survey is included as
Appendix
 Don't ask questions to which you already know the answer.

Code of Conduct
You agree to:

1. participate in all rehearsals and concerts, subject to the leave being granted;
2. play your instrument at the highest artistic standard possible at all orchestral activities;
3. practise your designated parts thoroughly and have private lessons to overcome any musical
or technical encumbrances;
4. abide by the provisions of the AYO Players’ Handbook.

Behaviour

All members of the orchestra shall respect others and act with consideration and good
judgement in all inter-personal relationships.

Commitment
Membership of AYO is a commitment for the whole year. Faithful, consistent and punctual
attendance is required at rehearsals, sectionals, the orchestra camp, workshops and
performances. Members understand and agree that the repertoire selected for 2020 has been
chosen in reliance of each member's commitment to the orchestra; and that by pulling out of a
programme or by failing to meet this expectation, the ability of the orchestra to perform that
repertoire is jeopardised.

Should it become necessary to withdraw from the programme within three weeks of a concert I
undertake to find a replacement player or to pay for a professional to play my part.
