THE LOFT LIFE PROCESS
Once the Final Cost & Payment Plan has been tailored to fit the clients needs our Architect will
visit to take detailed measurements and prepare plans to the clients requirements. These are then
sent to the client for there approval without the client having to commit themselves to any
internal layout with respect of division of rooms/electric/plumbing positions etc. Party Wall
Agreements if not done so already should be given to neighbours to consent to the start of
works. The plans are submitted to your Local Authority Building Control and works
commence.(As we are a Local Authority nominated Loft Conversion Company we are allowed to
commence works within 48 hours). The scaffold is erected to the roof and this becomes our "door
way“ to take all materials into the loft space minimising the disruption to our client and there
family life. Once the floor structure and dormer if applicable has been constructed with the large
open plan development area left open our Project Manager is then able to discuss with you the
truly bespoke positions of walls/electrics/plumbing etc. The internal walls are then
constructed/insulated & plaster boarded ready for the stairs. On this day only we advise our
clients to not use the existing landing as although all walls and carpets with seals on all doors are
done our skilled craftsmen aim to get this one and only disruptive procedure completed in one
day. Once installed we are then ready for the plastering and 2nd fix skirting/doors etc. While this
is in progress the Project Manager will liaise with the electricians & plumbers to install all fittings.
On completion the council make there final inspection and issue the Certificate direct to the
client. All our work is done within our timed penalty clause to "Hand Over", a 1st Class Quality
Conversion to you and your family to enjoy and enhance the value of your home and lifestyle.
