Welcome

It is such a pleasure to have the opportunity to make a
fuss of and thank some special people amongst us.
Three staff received a Limelight Award for 2021 and Lyn and Jenny enjoying the sunshine
they are Violet, Sonam and Arati. Further information
about their achievements can be found on page 3.

How grateful we all are that Lansdowne Gardens has
weathered the worst of Omicron, without one resident
becoming infected. I can hear you all applauding the
staff loudly for their diligence and commitment to
infection control processes even when we were short
of staff. 37% staff have had COVID, it has been a
gruelling couple of months.

But equally, we thank the Cranbrook Care COVID‐19 Jean having fun at our Wine and Cheese afternoon
Working Group for their warrior‐like effort to keep the
supply of PPE coming and RAT kits, to keep up with and
inform all of us on the ground the constant changes in
Public Health requirements and to cover gaps where
ground staff couldn’t stretch themselves any further.

Thank you to the staff at Cranbrook Care for all the
support they proffered. Special thanks to Sylvana or
pharmacist from Abbotsford Family Pharmacy for the
lightening dash she made to provide boosters for the
residents and staff. We are grateful for all the support.
