2 RESIDENCES REVIEW, SPRING 2023
WHAT’S BEEN HAPPENING?
Residents have been keeping very busy of
late. Lots of coffees being consumed in our
Café and chatter comparing recent holiday
stories and upcoming destinations.
Our social group has been in full organising
mode. Thirty-five of our residents recently
travelled via bus to Bathurst to visit heritage
listed Abercrombie House for a ‘Christmas in
July’ luncheon. They were welcomed with
mulled wine and a three-course meal with all
the Christmas trimmings, followed by a tour of
the amazing house and its’ spectacular
gardens and grounds.
We also had Emilio Prince, one of Australia’s
best Elvis impersonators, perform in our Café
on a Friday night. This event was the talk of the
village. Many saying it was the best event held
here so far. The effort and attention to detail in Liliana with Elvis Impersonator
decorating our Café was next level. A special
shout out to Ann and Sandra for this. Hot dogs
and apple pie were eaten followed by Elvis
sweeping our residents off their feet with
singing and dancing the night away. Many got
into the full swing of it and dressed up.
Congratulations to Sue and John for winning
‘Best Dressed’.
Card nights in the Café on a Tuesday night is
becoming very popular. The men play 500 and
the ladies play Aggravation. Concentration
topped with chatter is a regular occurrence.
Both are a great way to keep the mind active. Residents at our ‘Christmas in July’ at

Our veggie patch is in full swing. Our residents
can now pick loads of fresh produce from
shallots, thyme, basil, coriander, tomatoes &
capsicum thanks to Anna. John K has also
been doing an outstanding job keeping our
citrus grove of lemon, lime and oranges
blooming.
