Aunt Grace’s Lemon Pie





              1 cup sugar
              ¼ cup flour
              3 tbsp cornstarch
              ¼ tsp salt
              2 cups water

              Cook until thick and clear, remove from heat and add:


              3 egg yolks beaten
              1 Tbsp butter
              1 tsp lemon peel
              ¼ cup lemon juice
              Beat into the custard and pour into baked pie shell.


              For Top: Beat 3 eggs whites until foamy then add 3 tbsp of sugar one tabs, at a time until
              stiff, spread on pie and brown for 5 min at 425 oven.
