Conclusion


               Fresh water in the world is scarce, and  methods of  desalinating saline  water are
               costly and wasting of energy and have implications for the environment. This is an
               indication  of  a  necessity  of  researches  and  developments  for  new  methods  to
               increase the efficiency of it.

               Through this project, we conducted a study on the Al-Khafji MSF plant, and we

               found the mothed to increase its efficiency depending on solar power.

               By using solar collectors to heat brain water and recirculate it in flash vessels, the
               efficiency of the plant increased by 7%.

               And  by  develop  these  cycles  and  increase  the  inlet  temperature,  we  rise  the
               efficiency by 18.6%.



               Recommendations and future works




               Our recommendation is to used RSCC as the main desalination plant in Jordan.

               Jordan is the second poorest country in the world in water resources, because of
               that Jordan needs to permanently solve this problem.

               RSCC is a perfect solution for Jordan, the reason for that is the high rate of solar
               power per area.


               In graduation project 2, we will do a study on desalination seawater in Jordan and
               design a full RSCC desalination plant without the need for MSF.
