Orvis Knot
Use this knot for fresh or saltwater applications. See the interview below

knot.
1. Pass the tippet through the eye of the lure or fly, coming up from the
bottom, and make a loop, as shown here.
2. Bring the tag around the standing line, making another loop.
3. Make two turns around the new loop.
4. Apply some saliva and pull the fly and the tag end, to tighten against
the hook eye. Trim the excess tag.
