2. Lay a short loop section of heavy monofilament over the thread
wraps and make about ten more thread wraps over the mono. Run
the thread through the mono loop and withdraw it from under the
thread wraps, making a “trap wrap” and securing the thread.
3. This is the slightly tapered Whipped Loop. Some anglers coat the
thread with super glue or other fixative to ensure the loop won’t pull
out. Your choice.
