Palomar Knot










               This  knot  has  lots  of  history  as  a  fisherman’s  helper,  but  recently  has
               been  maligned  as  it  doesn’t  always  test  out  at  100  percent  on  knot
               machines. When you tie it right, thought, the Palomar won’t let you down.


                  1. Begin by doubling the line, threading it through the hook eye, giving
                     yourself  enough  length,  and  forming  an  overhand  knot,  as  shown
                     here.
































                  2. Bring the fly or lure through the knot (or bring the loop over the fly or
