Five-strand halF-round
sinnet
Here is the next in the round sinnet series – Five-
Strand Half-Round Sinnet, very useful when you
need a little flexibility or someplace to put the glue
when adding it to a picture frame. Compare the
method of making it with the Five-Strand Plait,
Method 2, for a similar shape with a dimpled face.
The method is a little different, but what you achieve
is the same.
2 – outer left over one, under one…

1 Start three strands to the left and two to the

right…

3 – outer right over one, under one. Repeat as

necessary.

The view from the back shows the
dimpled or flat surface.

The view from the front shows
the half-round surface and a rather
nice half-chevron.
