Carey’s book 200 Braids to Twist, Knot, Loop, or
Weave can be a great source of inspiration. You can
also find information on tying triangular sinnets
using a fifteenth-century technique called finger-
loop braiding that was recently re-examined in
a book titled Tak v Bowes Departed, by Elizabeth
Benns and Gina Barrett.

This next shape is a little more difficult to manage,
but I found that I could manage it reasonably, once I
had the method down pat. If you are going to make
the sinnet using the same colours of cords instead of attach nine strands temporarily to a cork or
