5 – wrapping around the first, second, and fourth
bights, returning alongside the inserted cord as
before.
7b Here the knot is being gradually tight-
ened, starting at the first bight by pulling
gently on the lower or last clockwise leg
of each ‘loop’ on the outside. then move
on to the bight end of the second loop,
the second loop, the third bight, the third
loop, and so on, moving gradually anti-
clockwise around the star.
6 form a sixth bight and pass it through the third
and fourth bights, ready for wrapping…
