the flat Knot
The flat knot is what Western cultures have known
as the Overhand Knot, which itself forms the basis
of the square knot, made from two Overhand Knots.
It forms a solid foundation to the Plafond Knot and
to the Double Connection Knot. As I have pointed
out previously, the Overhand Knot may be made
either left-handed or right-handed. Be sure to follow
the directions, because the orientation will change if
you change from the left-handed to the right-handed
version.
3 Wrap the right cord behind the base cord and
tuck the end up through the loop made by the
