Here is the same knot made with a single cord, so

This knot is intended to resemble the view of a baby
chick when seen from above by the parent bird.
I think it is a delightful way of introducing new
beginnings and a new view of a part of the world we
are rarely privileged to see. The body of the chick is
a Chrysanthemum Knot; the legs are Ginger Knots.
7 Close up the loops and the shape starts to look
like this. move around each loop in turn to close
the loops to the desired size.

1 first, take two cords of the same colour, or use
one cord and centre it. Here the Double Con-
nection Knot has been used on two cords so that
the structure may be clearly seen. form two loops
with one cord, about ten inches away from the
Double Connection Knot or the centre, and slip
the second loop into the first loop as shown.
