the ginger knot (saengjjok
maedup)
Known as a universal spice, this favourite of the East
is found as ginger root (a tuberous root) in so many
food dishes throughout Asia, it is hard to imagine
many without the wonderful spicy aroma. Whether
as shaved ginger added to sushi or as powdered root
in curries, ginger is a great favourite. The Ginger
Knot is said to resemble the ginger root, gnarly and
a little irregular.
3 form a third loop alongside the second loop,
using the second cord, and insert it through the
second loop.
1 make two separate loops in your two pieces of 4 reach down through
the third loop and hold
