Beit Knesset “Kehillat Shavei Tziyon
Amutah By-Laws
Article I: Name and Address.
The name of the Amutah is: “Kehillat Shavei Tziyon, constituting a non-profit Amutah. At
present, the Amutah has no fixed address.
Article II: Amutah Objectives.
1) To establish, organize, maintain, improve, expand and operate a synagogue in a venue
designated by the membership in the general area of Tzefon-Talpiyot, Jerusalem.
2) To organize and implement prayer services, Torah classes, lectures, groups, cultural
activities, and publicity according to the parameters and conditions that shall be
determined by the Amutah.
3) To establish and develop Orthodox religious services according to the Ashkenazic
custom.
4) To organize, establish, support, assist and encourage activities relating to aliyah
absorption, the advancement of social equality and the integration of the various
sectors of Israeli society
5) To expand Torah knowledge and halakhic observance in all sectors of society.
6) To initiate and establish charity funds for the granting of scholarships, loans and grants
according to the criteria, rules and conditions as shall be determined by the Amutah.
7) To perpetuate the memory of loved ones.
8) To establish a Judaica library.
9) To fulfill any other objective connected with or in advancement of the achievement of
the objectives listed above.
Article III. Activities and Powers of the Amutah.
1) The Amutah is a valid corporation with the right to act as defined by law.
2) The Amutah is authorized to carry out any action and legal act which the Amutah finds
proper and required for the achievement, advancement and implementation of the
objectives of the Amutah, including and without prejudicing the generality of the above,
to commit one or more of the following actions:
a) To found, form and establish charitable funds whose interest profit will be used
toward the realization and fulfillment of the objectives of the Amutah in accordance
with the conditions, and agreements that shall be determined between the
contributors and the Amutah.
b) To initiate and organize financial and other activities in Israel and outside of Israel in
order to obtain and receive donations, inheritances, endowments and estates, to
supervise them or to administer and utilize them, all on condition to guarantee the
fulfillment of the objectives of the Amutah and their advancement. To invest the
