THE CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL OF PHILADELPHIA (CHOP)
OUTPATIENT SLEP (SERVICE LIFE EXTENSION PROGRAM) ASSESSMENTS
VARIOUS LOCATIONS IN PENNYSLVANIA AND NEW JERSEY
The Rock Brook Consulting Group performed MEP/FP assessments of 38 off-site, outpatient facilities, including
Care Network, Specialty Care and Surgical Centers. The sites ranged from 3,000 sf to 225,000 sf. The assessments
were performed for the purpose of identifying installed systems and making general observations of MEP/FP
systems to facilitate prioritization of outpatient facility renovations and/or repairs.

SLEP – YEAR 1
VARIOUS LOCATIONS IN PENNYSLVANIA AND NEW JERSEY
The Rock Brook Consulting Group performed MEP design and construction administration services for CHOP’s
Outpatient Service Life Extension Program. As part of the project, eleven (11) of CHOP’s off-site, outpatient
facilities within their Care Network underwent architectural and MEP/FP renovations, including modifications
and upgrades to MEP/FP infrastructure recommended under the prior Outpatient SLEP Assessments.

VARIOUS LOCATIONS IN PENNYSLVANIA AND NEW JERSEY
The Rock Brook Consulting Group performed the design and construction administration on the MEP/FP
construction administration for CHOP’s Outpatient Service Life Extension Program. As part of the project, three
(3) of CHOP’s off-site, outpatient facilities within their Specialty Care Network are undergoing architectural
and MEP/FP renovations recommended under the prior Outpatient SLEP Assessments.

VARIOUS LOCATIONS IN PENNYSLVANIA AND NEW JERSEY
CHOP refreshed five (5) outpatient network locations to bring them into alignment with the current CHOP
brand and design guidelines. The effort followed the findings of the completed SLEP assessments for each
site along with scope review discussion with CHOP and Bernardon. The SLEP assessments were performed
by the Bernardon team in late 2016 and early 2017, with engineering assessments provided by The Rock Brook
Consulting Group.
