Siemens Healthineers Atellica® is manufactured as Siemens Newark, Delaware
Site. The Atellica® integrates immunoassay and clinical chemistry analyzers with
the new standard in sample-management technology. The analyzers feature a two-
way magnetic system to move the samples, allowing them to process about ten
times faster than using conventional conveyors and reducing the time to results.

Atellica® system fluids and materials are also formulated, packaged, and shipped
from Siemens Newark, Delaware Facility. A project was initiated to expand the
systems fluids formulation and packaging process to address increased demand.
The project included:

 A New Bottle Filling Line
 Expanded Testing Facilities
 Expanded Secondary Packaging
 Expanded Shipping

DEDC was the lead design firm for the project. We managed all project planning,
land development, civil engineering, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and
structural engineering and design components of the project.

DEDC self-performed all mechanical, electrical, controls and structural engineering
and design.

Due to product demand, design and construction was executed as a fast track
project. The project was completed ahead of schedule.
