East Whiteland Township Public Works
Location: Frazer, Pennsylvania
Design Statement: When East Whiteland Township
outgrew its current facility, the Township enlisted
Bernardon to create a new Public Works Facility that
would allow it to double its current storage capacity. The
resulting facility is a collection of buildings, including
a 3,000 SF Administration Building, heated mechanic
and vehicle storage bays, and unheated material
storage structures totaling approximately 27,000 SF.
It is located within a campus that includes the Township’s
Municipal Administration Building, Police Department,
and local Fire Station (also designed by Bernardon).
Improvements in the new facility include more space for
maneuvering vehicles and better lighting for improved
safety. There is also a new office within the facility for the
Director of Public Works, located in the former Municipal
Administration Building, approximately two miles away.
