Chester Heights Fire Company
Location: Chester Heights, Pennsylvania
Design Statement: Bernardon is providing architectural
and land planning design services for a new 9,400 SF
fire station for Chester Heights Fire Company. The new
station is proposed to be certified under the U.S. Green
Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environment
Design (LEED) program.
The new facility will include three drive-through engine
bays, meeting/training spaces, offices, bunk rooms,
and recreational areas. Green strategies will include
large overhang shading devices, natural lighting for
the mezzanine spaces, recycled materials, building
orientation, previously developed sites, and on-site waste
management.
