Additional Projects

            Berwyn Fire Company Station 102

            Berwyn, Pennsylvania

Bernardon is committed to building new fire and emergency medical service stations that prioritize quick response times,
encourage on-site participation from volunteers and personnel, and maintain a healthy indoor environment.

The Berwyn Fire Company (BFC) is expanding its service area and currently has a temporary satellite fire and EMS station
in Tredyffrin Township. After years of requesting support from the Townships it serves, BFC has finally received approval
from Tredyffrin Township to build a permanent satellite station. The new station’s contemporary design includes a
unique hose drying tower that anchors the two-story building to the site and celebrates the presence of this vital life
safety resource in the community. The design also includes interior and exterior features that promote engagement and
            encourage participation.

            Kennett Municipal Center
            Kennett Township, Pennsylvania

Bernardon provided architectural design services for a new, three-story, 9,700 SF municipal services center on three
levels. The facade features stone veneer exterior walls reminiscent of nearby farmhouses. The initial building and site plan
were organized to allow for an eventual building size of 12,000 SF.

            Longwood Fire Company

            Kennett Square, Pennsylvania

Longwood Fire Company (LFC) has served the communities of Kennett, East Marlborough, Pennsbury, and Pocopson
            Townships for over 96 years.

Bernardon is providing design services for the design of a full-service fire protection and emergency medical service
facility of approximately 32,000 square feet. LFC communicated a strong preference for the beauty of the Boston Fire
Department, constructed in 1887 and designed in the Richardsonian Romanesque style. As a result of this specific design
expectation, Bernardon developed the design of the Longwood Fire Company to recall the rooted mass of the referenced
precedent while incorporating modern amenities to encourage more frequent engagement by its members.
