INTRODUCTION

My assignment on the lifelong career of an intellectually strong-
minded military and family man, my grandfather Rick A.

Grevenstein has given me such pride and admiration that I only

wish to become the man he has shown me to be. My grandfather

has served his country proud for 40 years even through war time
and has shown endurance and integrity beyond measure. In this

assignment I will give you guide of his early life before taking on

active duty in the South African Defence force (SAAF), his active

contributions to the South-West Africa & Angola War, a
summarized look at the history of the South-West African &

Angola Bush War, followed by his career and achievements

during the 40-year span.
