Yinka Edu is a Partner in the firm’s Banking & Finance team and heads the firm's Capital Markets team. She has
been involved in a diverse range of financial and capital markets transactions including advising on the first
global depositary receipts programme, the first Eurobond issuance by a Nigerian Corporate and the
establishment of the first ETF to be listed in Nigeria. She regularly advises on the establishment of mutual funds,
derivatives transactions and on public Merger & Acquisition transactions. She advises on issues relating to the
Nigerian bond market and on compliance issues in connection with banking and capital market assignments,
many of which, being innovative or new to Nigeria, often require skilled liaison with our regulatory authorities,
and was a core member of the team that advised several local banks with the 2008 banking consolidation
mergers. Yinka has published articles in Getting the Deal Through - Securities Finance - Nigeria and The
International Comparative Legal Guide to: Mergers & Acquisitions. She presents papers and conducts seminars at
the IBA Conferences on security for bank lending and on capital markets’ issues. She chairs the Capital Markets’
Solicitors Association of Nigeria and a member of the Nigerian Bar Association Section on Business Law
Competition Committee. Yinka is ranked in Chambers Global for expertise in banking & finance and
corporate/commercial practice and is commended for her banking and finance and capital markets work in the
current edition of Who’s Who Legal, and sits on the board of several companies.
LOLADE OSOSAMI
PARTNER, UDO UDOMA & BELO-OSAGIE
Lolade Ososami is a Partner in the firm’s taxation, corporate advisory, compliance & investigations, and oil & gas
teams. She advises on the tax aspects of diverse commercial transactions in various sectors, including
telecommunications, banking and finance, securities transactions, petroleum operations, solid minerals, and
foreign investment. In addition to her corporate and international tax advisory work, Lolade provides tax advice
in relation to employment and service contracts. She has advised extensively on the tax implications of
investment structures and regularly advises on transfer pricing and application of tax treaties. Lolade also assists
with obtaining incentives such as pioneer status, which confers a tax holiday status on eligible applicants. She
has also had the opportunity to contribute to tax policy as a member of the fiscal framework and revenue
management syndicate of the Legislative Framework for Petroleum Industry Reform, organised by the House of
Representatives of the National Assembly. As part of her corporate advisory work, Lolade advises on joint
ventures, company acquisitions and private placements. She also advises on equipment leasing and hire
purchase transactions. She also advises on issues relating to trade and investment including investment treaties,
and regularly advises various start-ups on regulatory compliance and tax issues. Lolade's commitment to client
satisfaction is consistently reflected in her reviews and rankings by global legal research firms. She has been
featured by Who’s Who Legal in their Corporate Tax section, and has also been ranked by Corporate INTL Who’s
Who Handbook as a leading lawyer in Taxation and Natural Resources. She contributes to the Chartered Institute
of Taxation Practice Series and has published several articles and papers on taxation in local and international
publications including Tax Notes International and Tax Planning International Review. Lolade has facilitated
several tax workshops and has been certified as a trainer in tax law by the Nigerian Bar Association Institute of
Continuing Legal Education (ICLE). She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, the Vice-
Chairman of the Taxation Committee of the Section on Business Law of the Nigerian Bar Association. She is also a
member of the Tax Committee of the International Bar Association.
JOSEPH EIMUNJEZE
PARTNER, UDO UDOMA & BELO-OSAGIE
Joseph Eimunjeze is a Partner in the firm's banking and finance, corporate advisory and tax teams. His
specialisations also include mergers and acquisitions, insolvency and corporate restructuring, foreign
investments and banking regulatory compliance. Joseph has advised various clients on various finance and
project finance matters and on derivatives, foreign investments, securities (equity and debt) and foreign
exchange restrictions. Joseph was part of the team that advised various joint lead managers in connection with
the establishment of the Global Medium Term Notes Programmes and issuance of Eurobonds and sovereign
bonds. He has worked on various tender offers. He has also advised on a number of facilities advanced to Nigerian
banks and other corporates. He was a key member of the firm's teams that advised on the establishment of the
Nigerian Sovereign Wealth Fund through the enactment of the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority
(Establishment) Act, No. 1 of 2011. His corporate advisory experience includes advising local and foreign clients
on a diverse range of issues such as investment structure, debt-financing, restructuring, Islamic banking and
finance, corporate taxation, petroleum taxation and the restructuring of petroleum sector operations. He also
helps to devise tax-efficient transaction structures for achieving compliance with local tax laws and regulations.
Joseph is a chartered tax practitioner and an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria.
OLUKAYODE DADA
MANAGING ASSOCIATE, UDO UDOMA & BELO-OSAGIE
Olukayode is a Managing Associate in Udo Udoma & Belo-Osagie. His core specialisations are commercial
litigation, white collar crimes, ethics and compliance, anti-corruption, anti-money laundering/combating
terrorist financing (AML/CFT) laws, cybersecurity and intellectual property. Olukayode has extensive experience
in commercial litigation, intellectual property and in conducting fraud, anti-corruption, other ethics-related
internal investigations; and general and/or criminal background checks for ongoing or potential business
relationships. Olukayode has spoken at global conferences including at the 35th International Conference on the
Foreign Corrupt Practices Act in Maryland, USA and at the National Bar Association’s Corporate Counsel
Conference in Orlando, Florida. He is a contributor to the Lex Mundi Global Anti-Corruption Compliance Guide.
His work has been recognized by The Legal 500.
