DIPO OKURIBIDO
MEMBER, LEGAL COMMITTEE, PEVCA NIGERIA/LEGAL MANAGER VEROD CAPITAL
Dipo has more than a decade of experience negotiating and executing mergers, acquisitions and corporate
restructuring transactions in Nigeria. He has advised on deals across a broad spectrum of industries and sectors,
working on both buy and sell sides. For the last five years, Dipo has been part of a 3-person legal team at Verod
Capital Management, focusing more specifically on private equity and has been involved in structuring
transactions and navigating the regulatory landscape. Dipo is a member of the Legal and Regulatory Sub-
Committee of the Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (PEVCA), and in this capacity has been actively
involved in engaging with key stakeholders including the Securities and Exchange Commission, reviewing the
existing regulatory framework, proposing rule changes and establishing consensus regarding PEVCA proposals.
WEYINMI POPO
PARTNER, AKIN GUMP STRAUSS HAUER
Weyinmi is a cross-border corporate finance lawyer at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld. He focuses on private
equity and Mergers and Acquisitions transactions involving Africa. He also advises UK and international clients on
M&A, private equity, infrastructure and energy transactions.
Weyinmi Popo advises various Africa-focused private equity sponsors, strategic investors and family offices on
complex cross-border investments. Weyinmi is a native of Nigeria and is a regular contributor to thought
leadership on legal and other issues regarding cross-border transactions in Africa.
YOMI JEMIBEWON
CARDINALSTONE CAPITAL ADVISORS
Yomi is one of the founders of CardinalStone Partners Limited, a Lagos-based West Africa-focused asset
management firm that currently manages $250 million across various asset classes. Today, Yomi co-heads
CardinalStone's private equity business, where he invests in and guides small-to-medium scale businesses
towards positively transforming the West African economic landscape.
Earlier in Yomi's career, he worked as a management consultant in the New York Office of Bain & Company, and as
a research engineer with Motorola. He earned B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech,
and an MBA from The Wharton School, at the University of Pennsylvania. Yomi is also the author of the book,
“Risk and Return”; a book which chronicles his return to Nigeria and the entrepreneurial and life journey that
ensued thereafter.
ELOHO OMAME
MD & CEO, ENDEAVOR NIGERIA
Eloho is the founding Managing Director & CEO of Endeavor in Nigeria. Over a career spanning more than 15 years
to date, she has worked with entrepreneurs, companies and teams across multiple industries, at a range of life-
cycle stages. Before Endeavor, as Managing Partner of Amari, an early-stage investment and consulting firm she
founded, Eloho conceptualised, designed and launched 'Lagos Innovates', a portfolio of startup support
programs sponsored and operated by the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund.
She is a former Vice-President at General Atlantic, a global growth equity firm, where she focused on sub-
Saharan Africa, former Head of Corporate Development at First Bank of Nigeria and a former investment banker
at Renaissance Capital and Credit Suisse, where she focused on M&A and financial advisory transactions. Eloho
holds an MBA from the London Business School and an undergraduate degree in Economics from the London
School of Economics & Political Science.
JUBRIL ENAKELE
IRON CAPITAL
Jubril is the Chief Executive of Iron Capital Partners Limited, an Africa-based, Africa-focused Financial Advisory
firm. Before starting Iron Capital in May 2019, Jubril Enakele was the Chief Executive of Quantum Zenith Capital
Limited from 2015. Prior to joining Quantum Zenith Capital Limited Jubril was Director of Corporate Finance and
Client Coverage for Sub-Sahara (excluding South Africa) at Deutsche Bank AG, London where he was
responsible for originating Capital Market (debt and equity), Fixed Income and Derivatives transactions and
providing coverage and origination support to other product groups including M&A, Structured Finance etc in
the region. Before Deutsche Bank AG, London, he worked for Standard Bank (London), Citibank N.A. / Citigroup
Global Markets (London and Lagos), Zenith Bank Plc (Lagos) and Prudent Bank (now Polaris Bank Plc)
respectively.
Over the course of his career, Jubril has been involved in notable international debt capital market and financial
advisory transactions for African Sovereigns and Corporates raising over $10bn for Africa-based issuers. Jubril is
an alumnus of Saïd Business School, London Business School, University College London and University of
Calabar, Nigeria respectively.
