Article 178:

Without prejudice to the provisions of the Articles: 1, 2, 3 and 4

of the Penal Code, the provisions of penalties prescribed for in

this law shall be applied to whoever commits a crime prescribed

for therein out of Egypt in the following cases:

1. If he/she commits a crime against one of the means of

carriage by air that are registered in, or carrying the flag of the

State, or on board.

2. If he/she commits a crime against or on board of any of the

means of carriage by air leased, without a crew, to a leased

whose headquarters or permanent place of residence is in the

State.
