Ambitions for Wales

In Wales we want to take action so that by
2050 we will:

1. Re-use, repair or recycle everything. This

is called ‘zero waste’.

2. Think carefully about the materials we use.

3. Reduce how much carbon dioxide we put in the air.

In January 2020, the Schools Service at Ceredigion Council were

successful in bidding for funding from the Welsh Government via
the Circular Economy Capital Fund.

This money allowed the council to purchase milk dispensers which

removed the need for plastic milk bottles and straws for 1,979
pupils. This is equivalent to a reduction of 376,010 plastic milk

bottles per school year.
