smartphone for just one year more, it would be the equivalent of taking

over 1 million cars off the roads!

Choose carefully

Companies such as Fairphone are embracing the circular ethos by designing

their smartphones to be easily repaired and upgraded. Rather than needing
to change the entire phone when a better camera comes out, you can

simply replace that one part and keep the rest the same.

Dispose responsibly

When electronic items are at the end of their life, it is important that the
item is disposed of correctly. By returning the item to the manufacturer or

taking to the appropriate household recycling centre, you are ensuring that

the precious materials that took so much energy to extract are not being
lost.
