Proud moments from Eco-Schools
across Wales
We asked Eco-School coordinators to tell us about their school’s eco highlights
from the year and we have absolutely loved hearing about the many innovative
projects.
Here are just a few examples:
Cardiff High School: Conservation and outdoor learning
“In November we were given over “Pupils enjoyed an afternoon of
100 saplings by the Coed Caerdydd sowing wildflowers and tasting wild
charity, many of which we planted garlic in April and some kick-sampling
along the edge of the back field. They with nets and trays in Nant Fawr
are coming along nicely, and we’re stream in June!”
planning to extend the coverage - John Amer, Eco Club Leader at
along the perimeter in the next Cardiff High School
planting season.
“Earlier this year, representatives
of the Friends of Nant Fawr group
reached out to the school to re-
establish links and organise a
variety of conservation and learning
opportunities in the woodland area
adjacent to the school.
