Whitchurch Primary School: Bring a plant, plant a garden.

“Annually the Eco Committee, along with helpers from our local community,

organise a ‘Bring a Plant to School Day’. All pupils are asked to bring a

plant or cutting into school, which gets planted in the school grounds.
Parents and guardians are invited in to help with this project. It was highly

successful and our school area benefitted from over 500 plants.

“The Eco committee and pupils with additional learning needs who find

classroom based learning difficult, help look after, care for and nurture this
conservation area daily. It has had a huge impact on pupil and staff well-

being and has resulted in more wildlife and insects being attracted to a new
home! Eco members are very proud of their hard work.”
