OPERATIONS UPDATES
Operational Excellence Coins
Congratulations to the following employees
for being recognized with an Operational
Excellence Coin in December!
Joseph Harris, Lead Machine Operator RG416 was nominated by Brad
Goettsch for his December General Recognition Coin
While RG416 was grinding Joe was monitoring the radio and overheard the pilot start to give out in-
correct instructions to a west bound train. Joe interrupted the radio, not allowing the communication
to go through, therefore stopping the rules violation from occurring and preventing a possible on track
collision. This interruption did not allow the train to give a proper read back while also giving Joe time
to correct the pilot and stop the action from happening. Congratulations Joseph for staying engaged
and following the safety protocols.
Jarrad Crosiar, Superintendent LRG7 was nominated by Zebediah Dintelman
for his December General Recognition Coin
After the LRG7 fire, Jerrad worked closely with BART to get LRG7's
Power Car removed from BART property. Jerrad, who has spear-
headed countless machine moves in his 9+ years at Loram, was
thrown many curveballs while coordinating this move; No crane ac-
cess, no 66"-gauge roll deck trailers, a seized drive axle, the grind
carts were even in his way. Jerrad continued to think of ways to
overcome all challenges and was instrumental in getting the replace-
ment power car ready for BART. Without Jerrad's dedication and
his ability to think outside the box, BART's 2021 grind program
would not look so bright.
