John Orrell, Lead Machine Operator RG411 was nominated by Brad Goettsch, Manager Rail Grinding

John Orrell, Lead Machine Operator RG 411 – Johnny displayed the Loram value of Excellence in All We Do! He
has been working with a chaotic schedule on the CN Railroad and he has been able to keep the machine running
with a 99.6% up time year to date. He was very instrumental in organizing the location and logistics with part ship-
ments for the overhaul the machine recently had. He arranged to have painters come out and paint portions of
the machine and had to have a couple traction motors built and installed prior to being ready to work. This all
took place and the machine performed very well for all the work that was done. In addition, during all this activity
RG309 needed help preparing to start up and Johnny was able to help them out as well while being on RG411.

Grinding
Ernesto has gone above and beyond monitoring,
tracking, reporting on the Aluminum Frame Grinding
Motors (AFGM) test. He has kept a positive attitude,
despite the large amount of work associated with the
replacement of the AFGM modules. Upon a visit to
the machine last week not only is he maintaining a
great test program, the machine is in very good con-
dition despite some part sourcing issues.
Ernesto was ecstatic to receive the coin and says he
is coming after that Director’s Coin now!
