ITEM 6 : UPDATE ON CXC E-LEARNING HUB

               45. The SEC received an Update on the CXC e-Learning Hub which has been described as
a repository of learning resources to meet the needs of the CXC’s stakeholders. The SEC
noted that a number of Digital Toolkits have been developed for the CCSLC®, the CSEC®,
the CVQ® and the CAPE®. It was reported that more toolkits would be developed in 2017
and housed in Notesmaster. The CXC would also look at the architecture for the e-learning
hub to determine how toolkits could be housed on that platform.

               46. The SEC noted that CPEA® resources in the form of e-books had been published and
that the books were written by pupils who had entered a story competition launched by the
CXC in 2014. The SEC heard that the e-books were available to both teachers and students.
Members were informed that another competition would be launched in 2017 and the CXC
would invite and publish short stories written by professional authors. The stories would
focus on specific aspects of language learning.

               47. Members of the SEC were introduced to the digitally enhanced Financial Services
Studies syllabus and were taken through a short presentation of the different ways users
               could navigate the syllabus.

               48. The SEC heard that virtual learning communities had been created for the various
stakeholder groups and noted the plan for 2017 which included the hosting of a CXC photo
gallery, development of additional resources for existing digital toolkits, and digital toolkits
               for all subjects.
