4. The Chairman apologized to members of the SUBSEC for the request for a change in
meeting dates and expressed his gratitude for their willingness to attend on the proposed
date.

CSEC® as a Two-Unit Course
7. Members noted that as a follow-up to action point from the last meeting, discussion
on the CSEC® as a Two-Unit course will take place during the next quarterly meeting of the
Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) and Ministry of Education Youth and Information
(MoEYI), Jamaica officials in October 2017.
CSEC® Marking
8. It was reported that data for 2016 and 2017 were examined and the CXC had arrived
at an estimate of man hours per subject. Members heard that if the configuration used for
2017 was also utilized in 2018, CXC would be sixty plus markers short in English and twenty-
