Jambo’s Dream
An idea stopped his doubt: from tomorrow, he will
just get up super early to sell some fruits at the
market; after four days he should have enough to
afford one lesson. Jambo felt relieved. That night
he went to sleep feeling anxious and dreamt about
him playing the guitar like a professional.
As the sun appeared, Jambo got up and told his
mom of his idea. Agreeing, she said, “Okay but
don’t get disappointed when nothing happens.
Sales are really slow these days.” Jambo ran out of
the house, grabbing a bag of fresh mangoes and
some ‘skin up.’ He sprinted to the Market Square
with great excitement. He stood on the pavement
of the market, waiting for someone to buy his stuff.
Hours and hours went by and everyone just walked
by. Jambo sighed and decided to head home. But
just as he was about to leave, he heard, “Hello little
boy. How much is your ‘skin up’?” Jambo looked up
at an old lady with extraordinary height, hovering
over him. She gave him a toothy grin. “Uh..uh yeah.
It is twelve for a dollar,” he stammered. “Well then,
can I have two dollars please?” She landed him the
