                               Sir,
                                    I ha vo tho honour to forward for your infor­
                               mation the Budget of tho Bahrain State for the
                               year 1354 with a roport on Revenue and Expenditure
                                and tho annual roport for the year 1353.   This is
                                the tenth Budget which I hnvo had tho honour to
                                prepare,
                                     2. The finanoial position of the State is
                                distinctly better than it was at the beginning of
                                last year.  Revenue from normal souroes has

                                exceeded the revenue of 1352 by approximately half
                                a lao and the ordinary expenditure during 1352 was
                                slightly less than the total revenue. Owing to
                                the unoxpeoted rooeipt of over one lao from sale
                                of land to the British Governnent, it was possible
                                for this government to spend Es 30,000/- on the
                                construction of the Manamah-Muharraq read whioh
