                Trade.
                _____  Owing to the war and lack of shipping accommodation
          imports were much reduced and by the end of the year trade through
          the port of Bandar Abbas had almost entirely ceased.
                         Sven after the TT*S.A. were involved in the war the
          export of carpets to America continued for the greater part of the
          year, but on a decreasing scale.

                         According to the figures tsdcen from the Certificates
          of Origin and Interest, issued by t’ is Consulate, and other
          information goods of the following value were exported from Kerman

                Bayed "ehui Farrukh, who took up the post of nsvmdar in
          September 1941, remained in office up to 15th. -Juno 1942, v:hon he
          was recalled and given the post of minister of Interior in the
          Cabinet of Aqai Sohali. He subsequently became Minister of Food
          in the Cabinet of Qavam-us-oultaneh.
                Sartip Kaikavusi, acted as Governor-General, in addition to
          his own duties as G*O.C., between 15th June and 9th November, when
          he handed over charge to Agha Sultan Ahmad Rad, the present
          Governor-General*

          Agha M.H* Rukni was the head of the Economic Department. He was
          energetic in searching out hoarded stocks and forcing landlords to
          pay their full share of grain* Such official* are not popular either
          with landlords or with their colleagues, whose opportunities for
          picking* are reduced. He was recalled by the Central Government in
          spite of protests from both H.Mto Consul and the TJstandar*"^He handed
          over charge of his office at the end of February to Aqai A* SfS&qi*
          Director of Finance.

                Fran the end of February onwards Agai 3*diqi held the
          combined charge of both Dopartuents Economic and Finance•
