                    EXCLUSIVE AGREEMENT OF THE SHAIKH OF BAHRAIN WITH
                     THE BRITISH GOVERNMENT, DATED THE 13tu MARCH 1892.

                    A. 0. Talbot, O.I.E., Political Resident, Persian Gulf, do licroby solemnly bind
                    myself and agree, on bolialf of mysolf, my lioirs and successors, to tho following
                    conditions, viz.;—
                          1st—-That I will on no account ontcr into any agreement or correspond­
                                ence with any power othor than tho British Govornmont.
                         2nd—That without tho assent of tho British Government, I will not.
                                consont to tho rcsidcnco within my torritory of tho Agout of
                                any othor Govornmont.
                         3rd—That I will on no account ccdo, 6cU, mortgago or othorwiso £ivo
                                for occupation any part of my torritory save to tho British
                                Govornmont.
