QRFM In Indonesia, the discussion about the use of technology to accelerate SDGs has been intensive. For example,
12,4 Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) initiated the ITB SDGs network in January 2019 to support technological
innovation to speed up the national realisation of SDGs ( Permana, 2019 ). Further, Samir (2019) opined the
Indonesian Government can use blockchain technology to best target and plan its development agenda of
poverty alleviation. Furthermore, with fi ntech feature offers the unbundled fi nancial services, the experts have
forecasted a signi fi cant growth of fi ntech P2P lending in the emergingmarkets due to the existence of the
358 unbanked population ( DinarStandard, 2018 ). The recent development of fi ntech in Indonesia, to some degree,
has been practising the notion of fi nancial inclusion. This point may describe further the sector ’ s position in
promoting the SDGs. Of the Islamic fi ntech P2P lending case, one may understand that the fundamental of
SDGs and the fi rm in the form of community empowerment is one voice. However, extensive scholarlywork is
required to discuss further this matter.

As elaborated in the above text, that is, the emergence of Islamic fi ntech P2P lending should have an
implication to the recent implementation of the SDGs in the context of Indonesia. However, considering the
presence of the local Islamic fi ntech is still new, the discussion about the way they promote SDGs requires
scholarly work to establish a comprehensive understanding. That said, hence, the primary aim of this work is to
explore the subject matters. This paper addresses the following question:

Q1. How does Islamic fi ntech P2P lending promote the SDGs in the context of
                           Indonesia?

                     3. Metode penelitian
                     3.1 Tinjauan sistematis

                          Bank Indonesia - BI ( www.bi.go.id );
                          Otoritas Jasa Keuangan - OJK ( www.ojk.go.id ); and
                          Indonesia ’ s Islamic fi ntech association – AFSI ( https:// fi ntechsyariah.org/ ).

From reviewing the websites above, the total number of 198 fi ntech startups was identi fi ed. The number of 55 fi rms
was listed in BI, that of 106 startups were in the report of OJK, while another 37 fi rms were the members of AFSI.
The fi rms registered under BI and the members of AFSI were excluded. That was due to the fi rms in the list of BI
are not fi ntech P2P lending; instead, they are operating for payment services. Meanwhile, those fi rms which are
AFSI members mostly have registered either under BI or OJK. Hence, some data was
