         The FY23 New Hire Survey of the top 3 important qualities in choosing a new workplace mirrored last
         fiscal year, showing a consistent priority of our new nurses in having competitive wages/benefits, a
         supportive work environment, and flexibility in scheduling.


         The quality of having an “adequate orientation” at their new employer moved up to number 6 in the
         rankings, reflecting a new important priority with new hires at University of Michigan Health.
