           Common Error 7.1  Do you use which, who, or that?

                                                                        who / that
            Because of housing shortages in Shanghai, single Chinese people which are from other cities in China

            RemembeR:  •  In essential adjective clauses, use who or that to refer to people. Use that or which for
                           things.
                         •  In nonessential adjective clauses, use who for people and which for things.
